Clearly, there's something wrong with my brain. For some reason I cannot fathom, the logic side of my brain is either missing, or was put in backwards. The picture above explains it all very clearly. So, study it closely and then get back to me and explain it to me using Kindergarten terms. I'm convinced the algorithms on the logic side of the picture hold the answer to my missing logical brain, if we can only solve at least one of the equations... Maybe then we can finally close this appalling chapter of my life that: prevents me from doing anything remotely techy or even slightly mechnical or in any order that makes sense to anyone but me and from being … [Read more...] about My logical brain is missing
I really don't know what I'm doing. All I know is I'm trying to put words into this post, and it comes out as a link. Hmmm, looks like I fixed it. Don't ask me how. I need an affordable tech guy who can teach me WordPress. BUT ISN'T WORDPRESS SUPPOSED TO BE USER FRIENDLY? Just asking. As you can see by the photo, I finally got my big, honkin' anniversary ring. It was considerably more than my original budget. I asked John to raise the limit, and he said "you do what you think is right." To which I replied, "so that's a 'yes' then?" John: "do what you think is right." Me: "sooo...yes." And we went back and forth in that vein for a bit. I realize it's a … [Read more...] about So, I was stupid anyway
It’s happenin'. Again. I only went to my WordPress site to complain about how hard it is to find a good, affordable, anniversary ring, and to tell you guys I'm at my sister's house in Cornelius, NC cuz I told her I was depressed, and she said "come visit," so I was here in two days. I bought a one way ticket. I'll bet she never saw that one coming. To her credit, she gave me a bed to sleep in, and listened when I cried. So anyway, I'm here in NC and looking for a new ring. It was John and my 27th anniversary on July 27th, and he said "go ahead, buy a ring," and gave me a budget. And I discovered a few things about myself in the ring search process. I was going to share these … [Read more...] about Help me stop being stupid!
It's all over but the crying. We packed up the cabin on Day 9, and left to go to Cornelius, NC. Cornelius is just outside Charlotte, NC, and is where my sister, Elizabeth and the other Krajniks live. The sentimental reason? Why, The FIFA World Cup Final, of course. Technically, we had one more hour until we had to check-out at 10:00 a.m., but it's two hours to Cornelius, and the game started at 11:00 a.m. You do the math. I fell 💤 asleep the moment I got in the F-150. When we all got there, everyone was there but The Masters, and I could have stayed with them all for two more hours of kinship, but I chose Cali's bed instead. Finding a spot on her bed was … [Read more...] about Home again, Home again…
John, Greyson, Matthew, Ben, Cali and Stella went white-water kayaking yesterday. You know what I’m gonna say. I don’t do white-water anything, much less kayaking. I can only imagine the amount of time I would have spent upside down under the kayak, trying to not drown as river water...I’m sorry...mountain spring water...slowly but surely filled my lungs to the bursting point, until water, but pure mountain spring water mind you, poured from my, ears, nose, and mouth like I was a freshly tapped aquifer. Elizabeth and Mark went - well I don’t know - upstairs or somewhere else hidden from sight, so it was Dad and me alone in the cabin again. He watched old movies on Prime, and I … [Read more...] about Jacuzzis Are Dangerous When You’re Fat – Black Mountains Day 7
Chopped liver gets a bad rap. Believe it or not there are lots of people who think it's absolutely delightful. Not so, my sister-in-law. According to Gail, my failing to ask her and my brother, Frankie, plus other Batsons to our annual family reunion in the mountains had everything to do with that deli meat and their resemblance to said occasionally coveted, but more often than not, maligned, piece of offal than the fact that they have, in fact, never, ever been invited to the annual family reunions we've had in the past ten years we've been visiting the mountains. Gail never even knew about these trips before. Then, I made the mistake of sending my latest mountains trip blog … [Read more...] about Chopped liver and Black Mountain Day 5
